Being a sponsor...

Sponsorship is more than contributing every month. You as a sponsor are given the opportunity of transforming a child’s life through and through. You bring hope to an entire community and pave way for a better tomorrow. Today World Vision serves 2,25,000 children, their families and communities and this was possible only through sponsors like you. All of our child sponsors will certainly vouch for the fact that child sponsorship has changed their lives too. Hear from others sponsors to know more

My parents taught me to always help the people around us. My journey with World Vision India began in early 2007. But I had to discontinue my sponsorship after 2010 due to a financial crisis. I started sponsoring again in 2016. Now I am so happy and thankful to God for being able to be the light in a child’s life. I lost my mother in 2006 and my father in 2015. Both were an inspiration to me. Now my wife and children are giving me more strength and inspiration to help those in need. My 20-year-old son is Autistic and unable to communicate like us. My daughter is in the 11th standard. I am glad to continue my sponsorship with World Vision India because I’m sure the organisation is helping a lot of children and making their lives colourful and brighter. May God bless you all for this noble service.

We received a welcome letter with Sonali’s photo and a table top photo holder. This was the best part as I could keep Sonali’s picture on my work table always. That time she was just 3 yrs old. Today Sonali is around 15 yrs and growing into a well-educated child. Soon she will grow into a strong working woman, a self-sufficient lady capable of taking care of her family. Taking this baton forward, my son Kaiwalya has also sponsored another girl child. My experience says there is enough willingness and capability around; we just need to give it a chance, a helping hand for it to flourish, to blossom. Thanks to World Vision India, we could do our bit.

Money is just a medium to achieve one's aspirations in life. A person is not rich or poor based on his or her bank balance, so we are correct in saying that sharing is caring. This was the premise to join World Vision family and have an extended family.

Mangesh and I have been getting to know each other well. As a kid, I saw my parents sponsor children through World Vision. Now I have my own child and this is what I want to do.
