World Vision India responds to Cyclone Gaja

We are rushing emergency relief to over 1000 families affected by cyclone Gaja; we plan to help 15,024 families in the affected areas.

According to the official records on the assessment so far, 45 have died, over 250,000 people have been evacuated to cyclone relief centres, 170,000 trees have been uprooted and several hectares of agricultural land have been affected in coastal districts.

Thousands of houses are completely destroyed and power supply has been disrupted in affected areas.
